Doubts on some revision questions

The currency in country X is the Krone while country Y uses the Euro. Country Y has recently experienced an increase in its exchange rate with Country X. Which of the following effects would result in Country Y? ? A stimulus to exports in Country Y ? An increase in the costs of imports from Country X ? Reducing demand for imports from Country X ? A reduction in the rate of cost-push inflation Why is the answer to this is the 4th option and not the 3rd?

So, let's say the starting point is: 2 Krone (country X) = 1 Euro (Country Y) If the exchange rate increases as suggested then a possible outcome would be 2.2 Krone (country X) = 1 Euro (Country Y) A So an item costing 100 Euro in Y would have cost 200 K; now costs 220. A is incorrect. B An item costing 100K in X would have cost 50E in Y, now costs 45E. B is incorrect. C Would increase demand for imports (per above). C is incorrect D Country Y imports are cheaper (per above), so less impact on inflation. Correct.

Which of the following activities create vulnerability to fraud? (i) Calculating payslips (ii) Preparing delivery notes (iii) Paying supplier invoices (iv) Meeting budgets and performance targets ? (iii) only ? (i) and (iii) only ? (i) and (ii) only ? (i), (ii), (iii) and (iv) How does (iv) create vulnerability to fraud?
kengarrettkengarrettTutor5y ago#3
If that's all of the question, then it's dreadful. I, ii and iii: these operations all have to be performed. Whether fraud is encouraged depends on the checks and controls that are present. Iv: does not of itself increase vulnerability to fraud. To do that would require something like "Pressure to meet bud and performance targets". If an employee was desperate to earn a bonus or avoid disciplinary action then they might be encouraged to misreporting results.

What is the meaning of the halo effect?
kengarrettkengarrettTutor5y ago#5
The halo effect is a term that describes giving positive attributes to a person based on a first impression, whether or not they deserve those positive attributes. For example, a good-looking job applicant might be judged to have better technical abilities than a plainer candidate.

Can I know each of their theories? These were not in the open tuition notes. Katz and Kahn Hersey and Blanchard Tannenbaum and Schmidt

They are not in the OT notes because they are not in the syllabus.
