Sir, Will the examiner ask any partnership questions?
I recently got the BPP learning media Ipacks
in those MCQS there were certain partnership questions plus in the MCQs we should select only one answer right?
there were more than that!November 10, 2014 at 2:59 pm #208823On 1st may 2012, Jonas paid a rent bill of $1800 for the period to 30 april 2011
What is the expense in the statement of profit or loss and the entry in the statement of financial position, for the year ended 30 nov 2010???November 10, 2014 at 3:05 pm #208825Alison is not registered for sales tax purposes. She has recently received an invoice for goods for resale which cost $500 before sales tax, which is charged at15%
the total cost was therefore $575
How do u record this in the books of Alison
purchases-500
sales tax- 75
payables-575 is that ryt sir?November 10, 2014 at 4:02 pm #208856Please do not ask different topics in the same thread – start a new thread for new topics 🙂
In answer to your first question, I don’t know if your pack is old, but partnerships were removed from the syllabus many years ago.
With regard to MCQ’s, that is only Section A of the exam (Section B is MTQ’s which are longer questions).
Also in Section A there will be questions that require you to enter a number (not just choose one answer) and also questions which can ask you to select more than one correct statement from a list of several statements.November 10, 2014 at 4:03 pm #208857Your second question:
Are you sure that you have typed the dates correctly?
If you have then it must be a typing error by BPP because the question is impossible!!November 10, 2014 at 4:04 pm #208858Your third question:
If she is not registered for sales tax, then the entry is:
Dr Purchases 575
Cr Payables 575(the entry that you have typed would only be correct if she was registered for sales tax)
November 10, 2014 at 6:13 pm #208886Thnks alot sir!
I got it cleared, these questions are from the revision mock exam in opentuition!
I got 72% not gud for an A* student! 🙁
Working hardNovember 11, 2014 at 8:19 am #208984With regard to the rent question, it was our typing mistake – the date of payment should be 1 May 2010 (not 2012).
I have corrected it – thank you for bring it to my attention. With regard to the sales tax question – the question and answer in our test are correct 🙂
