    Dear Sir,

Does Time Series Analysis & Regression Analysis will still be examined in ACCA F5 exam in June 2014? I cannot find it in the study guide. If yes then please refer it from study guide.

Please accept the highest regards for your efforts to help students.

    Kind Regards

If you read our Course Notes then you will already know the answer 🙂

Time series and regression analysis are assumed knowledge from Paper F2 and therefore are examinable.

However, the examiner has said that there will not be calculations asked on either or them – at most you can just be expected to understand the idea.

(They are not the only topics not mentioned in the syllabus. Basic variance analysis was removed from the syllabus – not because it cannot be asked, but again because it is assumed knowledge from Paper F2. The examiner has said that it will not form a full question, but knowledge of Paper F2 variances is essential because they are asked in F5 as part of a question, and it is impossible to understand the advanced variances without understanding F2 variances.)
