Hi John, not sure if you read this particular forum?
I wanted to ask your advice on which options papers to chose. I read the general guidance on “chose what you got the best mark on for previous papers”
I am studying independently so do not have anyone else to ask.
if your or any other tutors/knowledgable person read this could you tell me:
which are the easiest papers to pass? (sorry if this sounds crude). I did look at the pass rates and they are roughly similar. so i mean which are easiest to study for (quickest?)
also would AFM and APM be the best for someone who wants to read financial statements (Warren Buffet style)? or would AA be preferable in your opinion?
There is no easiest paper to pass. Obviously some people find some papers easier and some harder, but that is because each student is different.
What to choose depends on several things. Are you better on calculations than on written questions, or the other way round? Which of the earlier papers did you find easier and which did you find harder? What sort of work do you want to do in the future?
Only you can answer 🙂
A good idea would be to have a quick look at one or two recent exams on the ACCA website for each of the option papers, just to get an idea of the kind of things that are asked. That might help you decide which you find more interesting.
Hi John
