divisional performance

Hi John!

I just want a confirmation about net assets of a division.

-The general rule is that in an exam question or for any question for divisional performance, when are given the net asset and we are not told whether it is opening or closing, then we assume that it is the opening NA and hence for any NCA bought during the year, we do not deduct dep from the net assets.

Is that really the case?
