September 2006 Final dividend for the year ended 30 June 2006 paid (declared August 2006) $120000
What figures should be disclosed in sopl and other comp income for year ended 30 June and it SOFP
Sir I am not understanding what amount do we disclose there.
In the SOPL we show the dividends actually paid during the year, which is $104,000.
In the SOFP we show nothing. (The only time a dividend will be shown as owing is if it had been declared and voted on before the end of the year, but had not yet been paid)
but dont we only show dividends in statement of changes in equity and not sopl and sofp?/
Sorry – my mistake. No dividends are shown in the SOPL.
The $104,000 will appear in the SOCE.
(But if you knew this then why did you ask? 🙂 )
