Hello sir,
I wanted to clarify on a question that I had concerning personal computation with respect to dividend.
Suppose an individual only has an income of 10000 relating to dividend; would the whole 10000 be taxed at 0% or 5000 only?
Best regards,
Rojid Nayaz.
If a taxpayer ONLY has income of 10,000 then this is reduced to nil taxable income by the PA and therefore there is no income tax calculation to perform so the 5000 dividend income nil rate band is irrelevant as there is NO taxable income
