Why this statement is not a purpose of Equal Pay regulation?
2.What is positive discrimination?
In the UK the law is equal pay for work of the same value. This is because often men and women go for different types of job so discrimination was still possible.
Positive discrimitation. Say that staff were 10% female and 90% male. To head towards 50/50, there would have to be a catch up by predominant recruitment of female staff. They areally subject to positive discrimination.
