Hi
I need to ask that when we dispose off the equity investments held at FVTOCI, what is the correct treatment of the disposal gain/loss? Is it reported in P/L or OCI because i have seen both the treatments. So which is the correct one and used mostly in practice?Thanks
Equity instruments = OCI = NO EXCEPTIONS (THE RULE USED TO BE DIFFERENT) – IRREVOCABLE MEANS IRREVOCABLE 🙂
Debt instruments = P&L
