1. when i look back past year questions, what are discussion paper and briefing note ?
2. do we write as first person or third person ?
3. isn’t p4 professional marks will mostly be based on report ?
just to add for the question 1, are we allowed to write like a report ?
4. what are the contents or necessary items that we need to add for discussion paper and briefing note to obtain professional marks ?
There is no set layout for discussion papers, reports etc.. Best is to look at the layout of the examiners answers to these sorts of questions and see the way that he has set them out.
The professional marks are for setting out the report or whatever neatly – giving a heading, writing an introductory paragraph explaining what you are doing, writing a brief ending paragraph giving a recommendation, and showing the calculations as an appendix.
