I just did a section C question (BPP book, Q31: Story)
The 8 mark question asks “discuss the issues involved in upgrading the existing information system and the proposed changes, with reference to both the wider business environment and the decision making process”
I interpreted ‘issues’ to mean negative aspects eg challenges, costs, loss of manager autonomy etc.
The model answer included positive aspects including advantages.
When we see ‘issues’ are we expected to look at both positive and negative aspects?
Thanks
January 29, 2023 at 10:21 am #677559Although I cannot see the question you refer to (I only have the BPP Revision Kit), in general when you are asked to discuss issues then you should indeed mention positive as well as negative aspects(unless the question specifically indicates otherwise). When businesses make decisions regarding this wort of thing they will always consider both negative and positive aspects in order to then make an overall judgement.
