This has been asked for multiple times but how relevance are the notes? Please forgive me asking this because a lot of effort goes into memorising the materials.
1.) ICGN link is not working on Page 23.
2.) The ICGN principles is different to what I found on ICGN.org. The 10 Principles are: Board Role and Responsiblities, Leadership and independence, Compoisition and appointment, Corporate Culture, Remuneration, Risk oversight, Corporate Reporting, Internal and External Audit, Shareholder rights, and Shareholder meeting
3.) UK Corp Governance Code Principles are also different from frc.org.uk. The Principles are Board Leadership and Company Purpose; Division of Responsibilities; Composition, Succession and Evaluation; Audit, Risk and Internal Control; and Remuneration. Note: I have tried to look into the details and even the content is different. For instance, the FRC did not mention “Dialogue with shareholders” and “AGM” at all in their Principles.
4.) UK Corporate Governance Code did not mention “Entrepreneurial Management” and “Prudent Management” as highlighed on the notes P26 and on the Lecture.
Other minor issue:
Page 29: First paragraph: (in for example the case of the health service)
Page 25: “A supervisory board” – different text colour (Grey vs Black)Other minor issues:
Page 29: Instead (IN for example the case of the health service) the objective is to ensure….
Page 33: 3. Define AND environment “DOUBLE SPACE” policy and environment programe. This can be in terms of SMART objectives
Page 34: Have the EMS and the report verified. This is DON by an independent accredited verifierOther minor issues:
Page 36: Kodak. It might simply mean that ITS BUT ITS unique, excellent technology….Forgot to say, thank you so much to put these lectures together. I had a hard time studying the Kaplan Textbooks (way too clutter) and this material helped me to make my ACCA dream happens. The brick wall is no longer there and I finally think it is achieveable. 🙂

We are taking steps to bring the notes into line with the latest editions of the publications and to correct typos.
For a while the notes will be more up-do-date in these areas than the lectures which take a little while to record.
Glad you find our material useful. It is particularly important in this exam to practise questions as the exam is primarily application-based, not knowledge-based. You might have found the commercial textbooks too cluttered, but it is essential to make use of a revision kit.
