Do we still need to disclose the disposal of discontinued operations if disposal is completed.
Let say, in 2013 we disclose a brief notes about this discontinued operations. In 2014, this has been completed.
A details about this discontinued operation need to be disclose? (e.g. gain/loss on disposal, net of asset of the discontinued operations and etc.)
Hi Kim,
Disclosures would be appropriate.
Financial statements will show comparatives with prior periods, in that figures discontinued operations will be represented. So disclosures are required.
Also, I think para.34 of IFRS 5 says about recurring disclosures.
34. An entity shall re-present the disclosures in paragraph 33 for prior periods presented in the financial statements so that the disclosures relate to all operations that have been discontinued by the end of the reporting period for the latest period presented.
