Hello.
Is there anyone who took up ACCA but only took it half-way, say till F6 or maybe till F3 due to certain difficulties you faced whenever you’re preparing for the exams??
Such difficulties that I’m referring to are : nervous breakdowns, panic attacks, couldn’t sleep not eat, study with all the effort and yet such disappointing results or simply you don’t really understand the gist of the subject you’re taking etc? Because I experienced every single one of the factors listed and I am contemplating to discontinue taking up ACCA as I find it tough to cope and it does not interest me anymore.
Note : taking F4 and F5 paper for December 2015 sitting

Why you are so desperate like that ???
ACCA are really a prestigious global qualifications, and to gain that you really need hardwork, motivations, and strong determination…
If you just quit the ACCA right now, You are definitely wasting all of your time and your money studying ACCA part way…
Remember, even though you underwent so much difficulties, like you said above (could not sleep and eat, dissapointing results, and so on), Don’t give up… You really wasting all your efforts until right now if you give up…However it is depends again to you… If your main interest is not in accounting… Better not to force yourself.. You can take another subject that suitable with your interest….

As said, is this a career you are sure you want to continue on? Even after the exams, the higher paid roles do not come easy, there is a lot of pressure on Finance professionals, usually coupled with massive work loads, will you be happy with that? its certainly not a career where you can wing it for a large pay cheque. Look at your reasons for studying, money should not really be one of them
If you think it is for you, maybe take a more relaxed approach to your exams. There is no rush to pass, you can now sit 4 times a year, maybe study for and sit them one at a time? make it more manageable and less stressful

It took me 7 and a half years to qualify. I had to attempt F9 three times and P2 four times but made it in the end. The exams are not meant to be easy but nothing beats the feeling of finally becoming a full ACCA member.
However, you are still in the early stages of the ACCA and if you are already feeling substantial pressure/stress, maybe something like the AAT might be more suitable. The AAT can act as a springboard back into the ACCA, should you change your mind later on and is still a very respected qualification in its own right.
I did the one exam at a time strategy for the last few exams and found it worked well. Would you consider changing your tuition provider?
Hope this helps
