Hi John
The solution States that completion of time sheets by employees is a form of direct data capture. Can I take it, in your opinion that all forms of direct user input are forms of direct data capture, ie customer entering in an order on a website, customer booking airline tickets online etc, would also fit into this category and direct data capture is not restricted to computers scanning a barcode (or MCQ exam paper!), as long as the company or department that will use the data don’t have to input it in again at the other end?
I only ask this because I thought that direct user input was different to direct data capture!
Cheers
Hugh
I actually agree with you, however the examiner clearly regards it as any input that does not need re-entering.
That’s great, thanks John, will go with the examiners word
You are welcome 🙂
