    Hey all

Just a quick question if someone can help, would really appreciate it!

How does one obtain diploma in accounting and business? I mean what papers does one have to complete and any additional module/task to be completed?
And also do we have to complete FIP before this to obtain the diploma or can we just do the diploma?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks in advance.

DAB is awarded after the completion of F-01-F-02 & F-03 and FIP. However you have to appear for the exams in order to get this diploma. If are availing exemption then you are not eligible for it.

    Hey

    Thank you for your response.

I started ACCA in June 2014 and have completed F1-F4 and have given exam for F7&F8 in this sitting (June).

I’m assuming your talking about FIP?

What I meant is what paper must I complete do obtain a Dip in acc and bus? Like are they any more tasks or objectives to be completed.

I’m sure you might be aware of the BSc degree which is given after F1-F9 is completed.. Which has extra tasks to it like the essay and mentor and other nitty gritty stuff. So in contaxt with that what does one must do to obtain diploma?

Sorry for the long wounded message..

    Appreciate your help!!

The meaning of your completion is that you have availed exemption F-1 to F-03 due to a previous qualification and not by passing these exams directly, then you will not be eligible for DAB. FIP is mandatory if you intend to obtain DAB. But FIP only will not help u gain DAB, if you have not passed the exam but availed exemption.

There is no other stuff you are expected perform to obtain DAB as far as my understanding goes.

When you complete all skill level papers F-04-F-09 you will be awarded with ADAB which also require you to complete ethics module.

For BSC hounours degree under partnership with Oxford brooklyn, you have to register with ACCA after completion of F-04 that you are intended to pursue this degree. Again if you are exempted from appearing this exam by virtue of your existing qualification, if any, then you have to prove your English language proficiency in order to pursue the degree. I am not sure how this is done, you can contact ACCA for a comprehensive information.

    I hope this helps.

    Hey

Thank you so much for your detail response. I really appreciate that.

The word completion meant that I have passed them with ACCA in December 2013 sittings.

Just to clarify on DIp in acc and bus, I need to complete skills sections of ACCA (F4 to F9), and also have completed the FIP?

    I hope I’m not confusing!!

Once again thanks for your help!!

The certificate you can obtain after completion of F4-F9 is known as ” advanced diploma in accounting and Business”.

Completion of FIP is not mandatory for this. But completion of professional ethics module is mandatory, which is also in any way a mandatory element for membership.

I haven’t completed FIP, as I was not eligible for DAB, but obtained ADAB after completion of F-04-F-09 and professional ethics module.

    I hope this helps.

    Hey

    Thanks for your response.

Now I understand. I’m yet not eligible for ethics module yet so hopefully next year I will be after completing The skills paper.

Thanks for your time and help. Appreciate it.
