We can transfer to ACCA F4 directly after FMA,FFA,FAB of FIA ( without clearing rest of FIA ), can i be eligible for BS.c of oxford brooks then if i don’t have an equivalent of A-levels qualification?
August 6, 2014 at 1:44 am #186530No. You need to complete all of other fia paper. There are 7 papers. In order to trasnfer directly to ACCA, This is valid for other country.
meanwhile, in my country ‘Malaysia’ 9 paper are required, this is includes 2 of the Specialist Paper in CAT.
its weird but, i think it’s good because i have strong foundation for the remaining paper in ACCA and use CAT as a qualification for work. I self study all my CAT though, cost saving and time.Yes, any student eligible for oxford brooke if they complete 9 F level paper in ACCA. i will be one of them.
I dont have proper qualification.
August 9, 2014 at 1:30 pm #188908You’re mistaken my friend go to FIA/CAT section it’s clearly mentioned underneath the DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTING line.,,
**Students who successfully complete the Diploma in Accounting and Business through Foundations in Accountancy can either:
transfer to the ACCA Qualification and commence their studies at F4 onwards of the ACCA Qualification
or
continue to study for the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification. On completion of this, they can progress to the ACCA Qualification
if they choose to do so, beginning their studies at paper F4. They can also count the four performance objectives and one year’s work experience gained to achieve the CAT Qualification towards the three years’ work experience required for the ACCA Qualification.

Remember, Foundation in accountancy consist of 7 exams. Fa1,ma1,fa2,ma2,fab,fma, and ffa. you will be awarded diploma in accountant and business right after completion of the three exam. Which means that you still have to complete all of the fia papers if you want to transfer to acca. i dont know why most student do not understand the terms mentioned. Because back then there was adult student or something if you complete only 3 diploma exam in fia/cat you will transfer to acca afterwards. But i heard that policy had been canceled. If you think i am making mistake go ahead call acca toll free line, 24hrs.
Asked them about it.
August 15, 2014 at 1:51 pm #190387Hi,rielleo. Can i check with u, do you call ACCA before? Because I have checked the ACCA website, it’s mentioned this
“… When you have completed the Diploma in Accounting and Business in at the Foundation level, you can then transfer over to the ACCA Qualification.”
I thought it is mean that if we complete the Diploma in Accounting and Business in Foundation level then we can just transfer to ACCA. Because the website didn’t mention must complete the FIA. Am I misunderstanding the sentence?

Actually the rule is only applied in my country Malaysia. I have to complete 9 Papers in CAT stages. yes, i did call and notified them about that. well FIA is not recognized as proof of professional qualification in my country. CAT does.
please check this out https://www.accaglobal.com/sg/en/qualifications/glance/foundation-level/overview.html
if you were confused, please do not hesitate to call them. They will right there 24hours.
+44 141 582 2000.i understand that some FIA student want to accelerate in their study, especially the ones without formal qualification, to save cost, time etc. Honestly, Employer do not really recognize ACCA diploma in Business and Accounting, because 3 knowledge Paper + Professional module = Diploma, in 6Month except if you have an experience to work in finance/tax/audit etc.
