Hi, I am from India and our country is in the process of migration to IFRS. I am an ACCA student and now preparing for F7 – Financial Reporting. I also wish to join for Diploma in IFRS offered by ACCA. Whether both the syllabus are same ?. What should I do now ? Whether I will get any additional knowledge in IFRS by doing DipIFRS compared to F7. Somebody please help me.
The two syllabi (F7 and DipIFRS) are very, very closely aligned to the extent that, some years ago having just finished teaching a week’s course for DipIFRS, I was recommending that any student that was a strong candidate for F7 should seriously consider taking the exam for the diploma
Why not keep on with your preparation for F7 and, at the same time, download a couple of past exams from the Diploma qualification
It would only be a two minute exercise for you to determine how appropriate F7 was to the Diploma requirements
Let me know what you think
OK?
