Do you really have to study the Dip in IFRS in addition to ACCA to be noticed by prospective employers? I’ve always thought that the ACCA curriculum covers IFRSs, sufficiently. Does it give you an edge over ACCA qualified prospects?
No I don’t believe it would give you an edge. I’m not entirely sure what the point of getting it is – it seems to be somewhere between the level of FR and SBR, so someone who has the full qualification should be more knowledgeable than someone who just has the Dip in IFRS.
