    Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum.

I am taking Dec 2014 Exams and I have been given the 2011 editions by a friend. Can someone tell me how much, if any they have changed the syllabus and if I need to purchase new editions for any of the 3 modules above?

    Thanks!

You MUST acquire revision kits for all three papers.

The lectures for both F2 and F3 (free on this site) are sufficiently comprehensive for you achieve a comfortable pass.

The same goes for the F4 law (English variant)

F4 format is changing with effect from December 2014 inclusive and there are small changes both additions and deletions (I cannot speak for F2 and F3 syllabuses)

But, if you’re not buying a study text (and personally I don’t think you need to!) you should be ok with the range of free material on this site

For F2 and F3, there have been some changes to the syllabus since 2011. However, as Mike has written, what is covered in the free lectures on this website (together with the Course Notes) is all you need to pass the exam – provided that you have new Revision/Exam Kits from one of the approved publishers.

They contain lots of practice questions, and practice is vital. It is important to have new ones because not only have there been some changes to the syllabus since 2011, but also the format/layout of the exam has changed – F2 and F3 are no longer only multiple choice questions.
