Difference between Other operating income and Non-operating income

Dear Tuitors,

As we know, the classification of other operating income and non-operating income has an impact on the operating income aka EBIT and ultimately the computation of EBITDA.

It is very confusing for the items below:
Government grant
Sundry income
Foreign exchange gain
Gain on disposal of property, plant and equipment, net
Insurance claim income

Is there any tutor expert in this area? Please advise how you would classify it and it is under GAAP or IFRS, thank you so much in advance for your explanation.
