I have failed to differentiate how to answer a question “Evaluate” and the one as “Analyse”. They seem to be the same. Please help

ACCA does not provide a key to question requirements. CIMA’s guidance says:

Analyse: examine in detail the structure of

Evaluate: appraise or assess the value of.

So, evaluate goes further than analyse as you have to come to a conclusions.

I’m not sure how strict ACCA examiners are in their use of requirement words. I’m not sure its always worth agonising over too much. In the time-pressured environment of teh exam, answers to the requirements analyse, evaluate or discuss will often be very similar. Frankly, you are sometimes grateful just to be able to respond at all!

You need to take more care when a requirement has two parts such as: ‘analyse and recommend’, or ‘identify and describe’, ‘list and explain’. Too often one requirement is completely ignored.
