Description of models to be used or not?

I have seen some answers in kit which gives a brief description of the model or the components in the model specially in culture analysis related models So my question is do we have to give a description or is it like there are some specific models for which we have to briefly describe before applying ? and if i am not finding enough points to write , can i write about the models (briefly)? Thanks in advance
