Can some one help me on how to wake out depreciation charge for the year below using the rate of 121/2% on a reducing balance basis.

The cost of plant is $181,000 and with accumulated depreciation of $85,000

    Hi, yes, it’s 12.5% x (181,000 – 85,000 )

    That’s 12.5% x 96,000 = 12,000

Hi Tutor I figured where the confusion was coming from I agree its 12.5 but I this there was a typo in the book because it read 121/2% when it should have been 12 1/2% for one to see the half unlike seeing the 121
