Dear Tutor,
While reviewing past exam answers, I noticed that the definition for an audit was actually the definition of the ‘objective of an audit’. If I were to reply to the question: ‘What is the definition of an audit’ by saying: ‘An audit is the independent examination of, and expression of opinion on the financial statements of an entity by a practitioner’, would this reply be accepted also?
Thank you.
That would be exactly right.
Thank you.
