Hi sir,
i’m starting to go through your lectures. under the introduction of GLO you said you have to pass english variant if you want to practice accounting in Britain. Aside from this what is other benefit of doing English variant? (that is regarding employability). does your statement mean ENG variant is for those who wish to work in the UK only? what is your general advice for someone aspiring to practice accounting at any edge of the world?
thanks.
Hi Abdullah,
English law is recognised in many countries not just the UK.
However, if you know for certain that you want to practice in the UK then the English variant is really highly recommended.
If you do not think you will come to the UK and instead want to practice elsewhere in the world then the Global variant should be considered.
There is further guidance on ACCA Global website https://www.accaglobal.com/sg/en/qualifications/glance/acca/how/acca-qualification-applied-skills-exams/acca-qualification-corporate-business-law-exam.html
I hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Vijay
