Is it too late to start for the december exam? I can dedicate 8 hours everyday, but I’m not sure if even that is enough. I haven’t even started covering the syllabus yet.

    Welcome to my forum!

You could follow the guidance in this and draw up for yourself a study plan – can you fit in all the study and revision around your other commitments?

    https://www.accaglobal.com/content/dam/acca/global/PDF-students/acca/f8/studyguides/3626_AA_study_support_guide.pdf

And check out the post “How I passed AA first time with 85%+” at the top of this forum https://opentuition.com/forum/acca-forums/acca-aa-audit-and-assurance-forums

All the “starred” posts at the top of the student AA forum and my AA forum are sticky posted for your attention.

I see you have posted the same question for FR – if you are set on taking an exam in December but simply can’t decide which one – I suggest you download the syllabuses from ACCA’s www and see which one has the greater appeal!

I had initially decided to prepare for FR but given the time frame, I do not want to risk failing the exam. I also need to score well, so AA seemed liked a good choice due to the shorter syllabus. However I am aware that AA is a difficult subject so I would like some guidance if I should just move my attempt to March.

I cannot decide for you – see the post “How I passed AA first time with 85%+” at the top of this forum https://opentuition.com/forum/acca-forums/acca-aa-audit-and-assurance-forums and create a checklist of all you plan to cover in a study plan. Pay attention to all the resources highlighted by my sticky posts at the top of this and the student forum as well as our resources here https://opentuition.com/acca/aa – if you plan to use them. You can easily see here https://opentuition.com/acca/aa/acca-audit-assurance-aa-lectures how long each lecture is.
