Passed 1st time and I was already getting mentally ready to book my March resit…
My tips: go “mark mining” by answering every little question for 3-4 marks as they will gather at the endJanuary 17, 2022 at 5:04 am #646479Failed.. second attempt..
I feel so demotivated
January 17, 2022 at 6:20 am #646491Passed with 54Marks, it was my 3rd attempt..So Happy, though would be another fail.
January 17, 2022 at 6:37 am #646500Passed with 81(!!!) on first attempt. Was little worried because of the very strange questions on fringe topics, hoped for 50, but wow, they gave marks for anything apparently..
Thanks opentuition!January 17, 2022 at 7:44 am #646523I never expected to pass this excam. Thanks God I passed with a mark of 63% . I apprteciate the examers to look in detaile may responses which I belived was highly disorganied due to time pressurre and frustration.
January 17, 2022 at 7:49 am #646525Passed SBR with 52% first attempt! Honestly thought I had failed this paper as I had missed part of question 1 and the whole paper was generally odd. Finally ACCA affiliate!
Things that helped me:
– Made my own notes from the OP notes and lectures
– Know your standards and practice how to apply them. These are the easy marks!
– Did almost every question from the BPP question bank. It’s ok to use your notes in the beginning!
– Know the ethics section! Again easy marks which can be applied to a lot of questions
– Review the answers in the BPP revision exam practice kit and try and pick up the trend of how they want you to answer the question. You also learn content at the same time!
– Although I didn’t get time for this exam, try to do 2 exam past papers to time on the CBE format, it helped me and made me feel more confident for my other ACCA exams
– The most important thing- don’t give up, the end feeling is 100% worth it!A big big thank you to the Open Tuition team! So happy!!
January 17, 2022 at 8:09 am #646538Wow congrats. Please can you share your strategy. Planning on taking Sbr for june. I need an effective way to study and get a good grade like yours.
January 17, 2022 at 8:14 am #646542Passed with 57% Second attempt
January 17, 2022 at 9:20 am #646574Passed at first attemt at 52%. So happy. It was my first CBE exam format. Time management was poor. I drained everything at the time that was available. Overspent time for Q1, less time had at the rest of questions.
My prep.recommendation – Opentuition videos. Good luck to everyone.
January 17, 2022 at 9:26 am #646581Never expected to pass this. But I have passed at 51.
January 17, 2022 at 9:33 am #646592First time pass, one done 3 more to go!
Just scraped it with 51%January 17, 2022 at 9:46 am #646600Passed with 59% …very surprised considering the UK SBR paper was disgusting!!!
January 17, 2022 at 1:17 pm #646713Passed first time with 62%, absolutely no idea how. Would love to know what the answers were!!! Can’t help but feel ACCA have been more lenient with marks as a result of the poor feedback?
January 17, 2022 at 2:03 pm #6467321st attempt – passed at 50% – thank thank thank you Open Tuition for all you do!!!!
January 17, 2022 at 2:11 pm #646735Failed 42, but was happy with that given my level of preparation
January 17, 2022 at 2:13 pm #646737The secret to passing really is NEVER GIVE UP. I thought there was no way I passed given the whole new way in which the syllabus has evolved but I passed first time,
my focus whilst studying was
– open tuition lectures
– bpp texts – used to do relevant questions to apply standards
-bpp – practice and revisions kits
– acca specimen papers
– acca – examiner reports and articles ( a must)This forum and community have supported me through the many many long hours of studying and doubt that I personally had.
To those of you doing resits – KEEP GOING – you have the right tools and resources to get there!!!!
Thank you kindly to the Open Tuition lecturers and all of you students who gave me excellent advise !!!!January 17, 2022 at 2:52 pm #646750I was not expecting a lot from this paper but passed in my first attempt with 78. To be very honest questions were so difficult but I managed to complete the paper that was also the reason why I scored 78 but thankfully its done
January 17, 2022 at 3:18 pm #646761Hi ,
I am going to do SBR in Jun2022 by self studies. please can you give good ideas how can I start it?
January 17, 2022 at 10:23 pm #646816Pass, 3rd attempt and 53%. Delighted. Now to decide what 2 options to do
January 23, 2022 at 1:26 pm #647323brother just focused on your standards like its all about the standard. Once you complete any standard always do the past papers of that standard. You must know the ACCA code of ethics and how to apply the code to the given scenario. and off course consolidation question. In my attempt I faced cash flow question which was super easy question as I practiced of cash flow hardly one or two questions but I know the basics
But always revise your standards on a daily basis than you can understand the standard. And a very important suggestion that you must write your answer according to the scenario otherwise examiner won’t give you marks. He/ she will fail you if you write just the standard knowledge and do not link your answer with the scenario.
I hope it will help you to pass your SBR exam.
Best of LuckJanuary 25, 2022 at 12:05 pm #647434Don’t give up, i passed sbr on my third attempt.
January 26, 2022 at 10:33 am #647509Passed on 1st attempt with 65. So happy!
