a) the information was not a complete overload. To get through everything in the time given is just unrealistic. I don’t buy ACCAs explanations that it’s to resemble real-life deadlines. Not enough time to make my answers coherent, just no time to think.
b) the requirements are all over the place – why not have just one exhibit with the requirements, why do they have to have at least 2-3 different ones? It makes it difficult to understand what is being asked as we have to jump between exhibits on a screen that looks like it belongs in the 90s. Or, alternatively, let us use multiple screens like we would at work.
Overall, I don’t expect a pass, and I’m completely exhausted. My last exam too…

Absolutely agree!
I don’t expect a pass, again as this is my 2nd attempt. Seriously thinking of switching to ATX, its less subjective

Yes. AS SOMEONE FROM A COUNTRY IN THE GLOBAL SOUTH I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED. I WENT ON AND JUST MENTIONED INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY CONCERNS. ALSO I HATED THIS PAPER WITH THE ENTIRETY OF MY BEING.

@lizzyzingel

I quess it was information at the 3 different levels of decision making…which was mentioned in the question ( Operational, Tactical and Strategic).

By the way, I’m not sure anymore but I hope I’m right.

It is highly subjective marking and that’s why 70% of us might fail.

Management was 2 parts: 1) achievement of customer satisfaction and 2) profit or something

I answered:

Clear: not clear what success of survey means? Not specific enough. 3 out of 5? 4 out of 5?

Controllable: customer satisfaction influenced by many things. Manager doesn’t have control over what other departments do.

Profit (or whatever it was)

Clear: I think it was clear

Controllable: again, influenced by many factors

Motivation: management and non-management both get 5%/10% bonus. That’s not motivating for management. They have more responsibility and should get higher bonus.

Non-management:

I think it was something like profit or revenues for their retail unit.

Clear: clear only if they set a specific profit goal each year.

Controllable: no. Could be due to many factors, e.g. bad economy, bad location of retail shop

Motivating: yes. 5%/10% is motivating

Conclusion: don’t adopt because not clear/controllable. But current scheme also not great.

I found the exam difficult due to the time pressures involved
I have due to a previous injury very limited movement in 2 fingers in my right hand. This means I am a slow typer but fine with writing
When Acca went cbe it has basically disadvantaged me and I seriously think I won’t pass the last exams
An extra allotted 30 minutes won’t make any difference

These exams are very time consuming as it is, moving from hand written to cbe while might suiting others means I struggle badly.

But that’s the acca, money mad
