September 27, 2015 at 3:01 pm #273775Sir, can we expect marginal costing questions in the exam. Since I’m studying from BPP 2010 as well as open tuituion notes.
And do I really need to go through this kaplan text?
Because I also have bpp pass cards 2015September 27, 2015 at 5:25 pm #273893F5 does not specifically examine marginal costing, but you do need to understand the meaning of and importance of contribution.
If you are watching our free lectures then you do not need to go through any study text – our lectures are a complete course and go through everything you need to pass the exam well.
The only book that you must have is a Revision Kit. They contain lots of exam standard questions and question practice is vital if you are to pass the exam.
September 27, 2015 at 7:01 pm #273911Is it okay to have revision kit for exams of upto June 2014?
September 28, 2015 at 8:16 am #273934Yes – the syllabus has not changed.
October 9, 2015 at 8:52 am #275624Hello John,
I got the following mix of materials for my preparation of F5 exam in December:
-Complete study text by Kaplan published in 2011
-Course notes by BPP published for exams up to June 2014
-Practice & revision by BPP published for exams up to June 2014My question is this mix of material enough to get prepared for the upcoming exam in December? (in the sense whether the study text from 2011 is too old?)
Additionally, would you suggest to buy the most recent revision kit, in order to get better prepared for different questioning style (mcq)?
Many thanks in advance!
October 9, 2015 at 10:27 am #275637The study text is too old, because the syllabus has changed a little.
However, if you are watching our free lectures (together with our free lecture notes) then you do not need a Study Text. Our lectures are a complete course covering everything you need for Paper F5.
You do need a Revision Kit and it would be sensible to buy a new one because it is important to practice the MCQ’s (as well as the longer questions).
