Question 1 c of the December 2012 exam asked us to draw a multi-product PV chart. I am now reading the examiners’ report and it is saying that many candidates drew a profit-volume chart instead of the break-even chart that was asked for. Could it simply be an error in the examiners’ report or could it be that we were marked incorrectly for drawing what was asked?
Whenever I try to view the examiners report for December it just gives the report for June – there is an error on the ACCA website at the moment it seems!
However, if the report does say that a breakeven chart was asked for, then it is an error in the report.
The question asked for a PV chart, the examiners answer produced a PV chart, and it is a PV chart that will therefore have been marked.
