Hi everyone,
First of all happy new year. I hope this year brings success and happiness in everyone’s lives.
Secondly, since there isn’t any thread yet about countdown to December 18 results, i thought i should start one. So here we are.
Share your thoughts on which paper(s) have you attempted, how did those go and what are you guys expecting.
Note: Results of the Dec 18 session will be released in the midnight (between 13th and 14th January 2019) at 00:00 GMT time (UK time).
December 31, 2018 at 8:42 pm #499574Hi. Happy New Year.
I gave PM as my first ACCA exam (started from Foundation in Accountancy), so very excited and nervous for the result. I remember that I did Section A very well and about 2 OT cases of Section B very well. With Section C the 2nd CRQ was attempted well but the 1st one is what scares me, even though the most I could lose there is 5-6 marks, even those marks make a lots of difference when MCQs are wrong.
Hopefully everyone has a great new year and the result is wonderful for all.January 1, 2019 at 4:36 am #499582Happy new year all,,,,I took AAA and. AFM….DEC 2018 looked simple to me but mess everything up due to poor time management…I pray God will help this time to get out of this ACCA exam prison….
January 1, 2019 at 7:56 am #499587Happy New Year to all and wish results will be good for all but wonder whether ACCA will again go with their percentage of successful candidates!!
January 1, 2019 at 7:07 pm #499588I’m waiting for my FM exam.
The exam went terrible, almost disastrous. I’m fairly sure i have failed it. As far as details are concerned, Section B was one hell of a section. I think out of 4 MTQs, i was only able to complete 2 properly, the remaining 2 gave me nervous breakdowns. This affected me in Section C as well, as i made mistakes i shouldn’t have.
I learned a lesson from this exam that you have to keep yourself composed during those 3 and a half hours, or else you’ll suffer very badly. I simply let the exam pressure get over me.Best of luck to everyone else awaiting their results. I hope & pray that all of us receive a pass text come 14th Jan.

Hopefully everyone has a great new year and the result is wonderful for all.Based on what you have wrote, i think you’ll pass. PM is the toughest in skills module, but if you have performed well in exam, you have a great chance at passing it.

This doesn’t make sense. Why would they do it?
January 2, 2019 at 11:02 am #499664Can anyone advise on how to get my mind out of result…

January 2, 2019 at 11:38 am #499669Happy New year everyone!
I had FR. Feel like failed. It was an awful section A and B. questions were so so stupid. Group statement of position was not bad, but had no balanced. tried to put all in details and every step to be explained. So hope dies the last!
Cannot wait for the reveal!January 2, 2019 at 11:58 am #499672@f6ali said:

I dont lose confidence but oh boy do I go into an intense mode. I am studying for TX and FR now and I am having difficulty understanding TX and its getting on my head so much that I end up going through the videos all together, like making a mess out of it. Hopefully the results come back as pass and I might be able to cope with TX.

Kind of in the same boat. Finalist too with APM as the last paper. Took AAA and APM together in Sep 18. Passed AAA but flunked APM. I though F6 was the worst paper, but APM is beyond comprehension. I did part A well and 1st part of part B was also ok. The 6 sigma in part B and the risk/uncertainty with Forex twist were a real pain. Pretty sure I will take a hit there. Hoping for a miracle pass.
Also regarding the E business theory, the source code used to say Value = S or M previously. Now it says “Search Result”. If someone can confirm this it would be helpful.
January 2, 2019 at 1:27 pm #499677@chullbulla
<input type=”hidden” name=”view” value=”Search results”>
Row 268.
That is the code that is being displayed for me.
Let me tell how I got this and correct me if I am doing it wrong.
I log into Ebusiness => welcome page => Then open the source code. Thats it.
Should I see this in a different place/page?

I too wrote on the same lines that 10 mins were insufficient and better to go with 15 or 30 minute slot. However, some of the answers discussed in the forum were really to the point like the 10 minute slot had a fault rate of 0.0003% but for 6 sigma it 0.0006% or something like that. I remember writing generic answers and not to the point.
Q2 part a was Performance Pyramid correct? I wrote whatever I could relate to the scenario. I dont really remember a lot but I felt satisfied after that answer. If I remember more I will share it here.

January 2, 2019 at 2:24 pm #499686Sat my final paper AFM and though I feel confident of passing, I’m a bag of nerves ready to explode any moment. I’d literally scream throughout the 14th of January if I become an affiliate. ACCA has taken a lot out of me financially, mentally, physically and emotionally.
This is my second attempt having failed in September. I felt this time around the questions were fair and I was able to attempt every single part of both sections
Good luck to all of us….oh and happy new year!

Hopefully the results come back as pass and I might be able to cope with TX.TX needs focus while learning and practice afterwards (sufficient enough to memorise rules & workings). If you’re unable to focus due to the nervous waiting, i guess you should take a temporary break & focus solely on FR.

I still get INPUT TYPE=”HIDDEN” NAME=”p_membertype” VALUE=”S”For six sigma Q3 part C, I mentioned like that 10 minutes slot was unrealistic and should stick to 30 minutes, for failed delivered it was not a company fault and company cannot do anything etc.
What did you write for Q2 a ?In the ebusiness website which page are you using for checking the source code. Because mine do not say membertype anywhere at all. Can you please explain the process chullbulla

You are right….both exam ( AAA & AFM ) was so fair that if i failed i will never forgive myself honestly… I didnt deduct interest from the free cashflow in calculating the value of the company that needs to be acquired and ran out of time .. i just messed anything up
