As a finalist, I would definitely have a quiet time of thanksgiving. I would definitely invite friends and family for barbecue and drinks. I had to take time off work to focus on ACCA. It has been a very tough journey. Imagine you have a better job offer and all the employer needs is your acca qualification. So it’s worth celebrating.

If I fail, I’ll do march.

there is no need to form WhatsApp groups

Requesting other students for their phone numbers is not allowed here.
it only encourages spam and scam to this forum,

I think the moderator must apologize for his action.I had much respect for open tuition and have even recommended them to other students but the unfortunately this moderator has dump my spirit. We are just passing time and nothing serious. I hope he realised his mistake and let us continue. Mr moderator reconsider your stand and let’s us enjoy the forum.afterall students can ignore what they don’t like

We will not ask the moderator to apologise. The ‘link theory’ was complete nonsense, and posts about it have only served to confuse some students into thinking that there is some theory relating to the exams that they are not aware of.

We provide this website free of charge. We are the only ACCA tuition website whose aim is not to make profits but to help students pass the exams by providing free lectures and lecture notes. The forums exist primarily to allow students to get even more help free of charge, and moderators help us enormously in keeping them ‘tidy, for which they receive no payment.
Obviously sensible discussions are allowed, but to imply – as you do – that you only use and recommend the website because it allows you to ‘pass your time’ is depressing. If that is the only benefit to you then maybe we are wasting our efforts and should close down the website completely.

Please – no more discussion of this ridiculous ‘link theory’, and no more ‘attacking’ of the moderators.

I am a non-finalist. Personally I don’t do a lot to celebrate after each exam result. The fact that results come out on a Monday morning doesn’t really help with this! I might have a nice meal with a nice bottle of wine with my partner the following weekend but that’s about it.

I probably celebrate more immediately after the exams, as that’s when I feel I can let my hair down a bit more without affecting studies, and it feels like the pressure has been lifted. As I take exams every 3 months, by the time the results come out I’m well into studying for the next exam so it doesn’t feel like the right time to celebrate.

When I get the last results and have finished my exams though, that will call for a bigger celebration for sure!

If I didn’t pass either exam then for sure I will try again in March. I sat F7 (my last F paper) and P1. Therefore if I failed F7 I would have to resit before I sit any more P papers and if I failed P1 I only have limited time before SBL comes in so I would do my best to pass ASAP.

No it will not be an issue. You will still receive ur results by text/email. At 5am u could still check ur exam results in your acca account but you wont be able to open and print any certificates before payment.

I thought it was OK. Thanks to Mike Little’s tips I felt quite well prepared for the exam. The questions could have been worse. There were no question parts which I didn’t feel I could answer. I planned out my answers with several points to make for each question part and had just about enough time to write it all down with a few minutes to spare.

Predicting marks is always difficult, this was my first written exam (I have done session CBEs for F5-F9) and my handwriting is not the best, so it depends if the marker can read my answers! Hopefully I laid them out in a way which is easy to mark – lots of paragraphs, one paragraph per point mostly.

I’d be happy with above 70% and I think my answers were good enough to get this but really a pass is a pass at this stage. I really want to get through P1-P3 before the syllabus change so as long as I pass I’ll be satisfied.

That’s strange they should be out after results that’s what ACCA said to me when I contacted them.

Also other paper answers are not out yet.
