So the results are just one month away!
Let’s discuss what papers we attempted and what are our expectations regarding them.

Took P1 & P3 this sitting… I honestly don’t know whether I’ll be passing in one of them or failing both. Passing….well, I lacked question practice and felt it in the exams, so if I get 50% that’s going to be pure luck I guess.
Not wanting to sound too negative & whiny, but I honestly don’t want to take P1 & P3 again in June 2018 but then again, I suppose it’s better to try what you already know rather than sit back and wait for SBL paper right?

Why not take them 1 at a time. Take 1 in March and the other in June?

Yup, this really sounds like a better approach, thank you.
I’ve thought about it, just debating if I’ll get enough time to be well prepared in one and a half weeks or no. That’s the only thing that kept me from deciding to take one in March, if I ever fail both.
I was thinking to probably start from scratch if it was for June 2018, given that I’m a full time student but might start looking at some notes for at least one paper (maybe P1? Given that it’s more theory) from beginning of Jan itself… I do believe additional two weeks would be beneficial, right?

…If I may ask, did you ever use one of these two additional sittings for a resit?
Reason why I’m asking is that I’ve always used 5-6 months time period to prepare for a new paper or even a resit, so honestly speaking I’m slightly nervous.

    I also attempted P3 along with P4 & P7.

P3 was generally a fair exam in my opinion, as it was a relatively straightforward one compared to the past sittings.

Yup, it was quite fair. Lack of question practice is what threw me off balance but I can’t say it was “horrible” as a paper overall.

How did it go for your optional papers?

P7 was comparatively much better than P4. The examiner really surprised us by the way the compulsory question 1 was designed. This together with the usual time pressure the P level exams carry, it could be a close call with P4.

I really hope of passing all and becoming an affiliate on 15th Jan.

P1 was okay just that some questions were repetitive

Thank you… P1 wasn’t as hard as other sittings have been, in the sense that very few topics were examined and Section A was a whole lot of repetition in the requirements, based on the Combined Code… I found it a bit better than P3.

I am afraid that actually I might fail the f9 test! I practiced a lot for f9 sitting and it was my first attempt. I was even quite confident in myself that time. However suddenly I had a terrible stomachache and asked for mitigating circumstances. Thank goodness ACCA immediately gave a positive response after me giving doctor’s letter. I can say I messed up the whole essay questions but I think I can still get some marks for some portions from the essay (I found only half of the MCQ, the rest is just luck!). I mean, what are the chances of passing after mitigating circumstances? Does anyone has the same experience? But anyways, wishing us all the best of luck for the result!

    Attempted P5 for 6th time!
I wasn’t feeling 100% but tried. I really ain’t sure whether it’s another fail or finally a pass.

    Anyone else do P5?

I did P5, my 3rd attempt. I feel ok about this one much better than the last 2, but you just never know. I’m glad I have Christmas to try to keep my mind of it. Fingers crossed for all of us!

@Sokatoa I recall your name from previous thread in Sept 17 count down, i don’t think you remember what I mentioned but i will say it again.

ACCA is a global entity and will not have such flaws to allow you or give you a hint abt your outcome of results prior to release date, it was my stance then and it is now out of curiosity all the e-business and link theory never worked for me in Sept 17 sitting as a finalist and still passed and some who accessed ebusiness member blah blah didnt pass.

Just be patient guys i know waiting for results is tough the anxiety and all but will be worth it at the end of the day there is no shortcut to 12am UK time sms from ACCA

All the best and good luck to all

What sort of positive response you received from them? Can you please explain?
I personally think it is just some sort of exercise for them.

I personally think it is just some sort of exercise for them.

They said that they are going to reconsider the score awarded. So the final mark given will supposedly been added by a few margin to compensate the situation I faced in the test. However I’m still afraid I might not pass 🙁

Ebusiness and link theory both works 100%

Aldo note it work before 3days of exam result day mean it work on 14th january 2018

This whole ‘link theory’ has not been confirmed or substantiated in any way either by the ACCA themselves or by a credible third party. I wish persons such as yourself would simply stop repeating these theories, but even if you do need to refer to them then at least refrain from claiming/implying that these are “100%” confirmed to work or in any way verified.

Firstly, this is simply dishonest as there is no way you could possibly know whether the theories are true or not, and secondly, you are potentially causing misery for the gullible and desperate students among us who frankly don’t deserve this.

If I was a moderator on this forum I would delete your post and suspend your account.

I have called up ACCA they said Sep / Dec 2017 answer papers will not be published until after results are released. They also mentioned in prior sitting this is usually 1 week after results are published.
