I do not understand the whole solution .where is the $885 000 coming from? Please help…..

The ACCA has not published the December 2016 exam, and so I am unable to help you.
Are you sure you are referring to December 2016? 🙂

The ACCA CBE sample exam question 18 for Paper F5 is based on a scenario Glam and that question does not contain any numbers!
Glam was certainly not asked in the real December 2016 F5 exam – it was asked in the real December 2014 F5 exam (but $885,000 appears nowhere in the answer)!
