Hi Everyone
First of all happy new year. I hope this year brings success and happiness.
Secondly, since there isn’t any thread yet about countdown to December 19 results, i thought i should start one. So here we are.
Share your thoughts on which paper(s) have you attempted, how did those go and what are you guys expecting.
Note: Results of the Dec 19 session will be released in the midnight (between 12th and 13th January 2020) at 00:00 GMT time (UK time).
I sat AAA and ATX in December 2019. Not holding my breath re: ATX but praying hard to pass AAA …
Also a finalist and took the risk to sitting two papers before CBE comes in. Awaiting AAA and APM. I found AAA ok and APM very time pressured. i hope to pass AAA more as it is my third attempt. it has been the hardest exam I have ever sat and regret picking the subject. I just want to pass both not expecting to be a prizewinner, the magic 50 would be great!
Yes finalist here too. I did ATX, It was a tough exam but just hoping I’ve done enough.
Just want the results already.

in Dec I attempted APM for the 2nd time and left the exam hall feeling again, time pressured and not confident I gave enough for a pass mark. This exam is by far the most challenging exam I have taken from the 13 so far and really I am rethinking my strategy and possibly switching to AFM which is somewhat evenly split between written and calculation. Last APM sitting I felt that in order to provide point worthy comments you had to do the ROI and RI which may be worth 6 marks at best yet took time to neatly format into the report and uhh just a hassle to mark Appendix and remember to make reference to the Appendix. Well, my journey continues but I made a goal that in 2020 I complete my last exam be it APM or AFM and move on:)Hi everyone. Appeared in AAA-INT paper for December attempt. Not a finalist yet, after AAA will have 2 papers left. I was literally travelling across the continent during November, had no time for proper practice or revision. Surprisingly, it went well (I think it did), felt like it was similar to the past papers (thankfully did a full analysis of past papers and did the latest ones as well). I have heard from my friends that passing AAA is not easy. I just hope I do pass it in my first attempt. Going for APM in March if I pass and SBL in June. Really excited for the result.

Looks like alot of people gave AAA in the December attempt. How was the experience guys??
I did SBL and SBR, really hoping for passes because I hate the thought of re-taking either…predicting somewhere in the range of 45-65 for both.
I sat SBR, I pray for 50%, i dont ask for more! I was 25 mins late to the exam and of course run out of time at the end. Lets see the results.

I think the AAA paper is one of the hardest option as it is almost as if you need to know the SBR syllabus to pass very well. a lot of ethics and practice management marks for Dec. you never your result as it depends on the marking scheme.

Hopefully we all are lucky this time and pass.
Have all finalists had the email from ACCA today with the subject ‘Where do you see your career going?’
Yes Laura. i got the mail very strange. but i would say its a generic mail that was scheduled to be sent,as the results have probably not loaded on the database yet
I hope it is a generic email, just getting worried. No they usually load the results Wednesday evening…
