Other than the talk about the theories, the chat is quiet which to me is boring! I like coming on here in the lead up to results to read comments as it helps calm my nerves but without the forbidden topic, it’s just silence.
So i’ll start a game for anyone else like me and interested.Copy below and post what the journey was like for you:
1. Most challenging level 2 paper – F5 PM
2. Most challenging level 3 paper – P4 AFM
3. Least challenging paper level 2 – F9 FM
4. Least challenging paper level 3 – P7 AAA
5. Resit papers – P1 & P4Finally, something meaningful!
Thanks @Grayson2.0 to start something interesting (and ethical!)
Much appreciated.1. Most challenging level 2 paper – F5 PM
2. Most challenging level 3 paper – P4 AFM (uptil now- still in the process of completing level 3)
3. Least challenging paper level 2 – F7 FR
4. Least challenging paper level 3 –P2 SBROther than this, I did for some unsual reason find F1 challenging 🙁 to prepare probably because I am not a theory student and completed school as a science student.

@nieffee & Donna and ferjanna and maman & this rest of those who have been through a lot, your stories are a real inspiration for the new folks like George. So much happened during the ACCA journey, it’s amazing how we pulled through. Those with kids you all are true heroes. I can’t even imagine what it’s like juggling acca plus kids, work and other commitments. I feel like instead of ACCA posting tips from prize winners they should ask newly qualified to share their stories because it’s a huge huge sacrifice and commitment on so many behalf. That feeling of wanting to give up but still going at it. The tears, the joy, the resits, scraping up the pennies for payments, the unexpected pass, the depression, the anxiety, the insomnia and every other thing. ACCA students are incredible. Whatever the results know that you are amazing and don’t ever give up on your dreams!
Good luck everyone.Well said! Couldn’t have agreed more!
Honestly, I have found ACCA so challenging that I stuck with just doing 1 paper per sitting after giving F1, F2 and F3 together at one go.
I know doing just 1 paper is slow but I also know I don’t have the ability to commit to more than 1 paper – won’t be able to do justice to them. Now, seeing those who prepare for more than 1 paper in a single sitting while juggling with all the commitments ( work, family, friends and all) I really think these people like @ferjana123 should get a special effort prize!
Also, kudos to those who still retain courage and determination to prepare for the exam which they have already resat quite a few times. Reading comments like “passing after 8th attempt”, “passed on so and so paper after the 10th attempt” it makes me question myself, “how do they bring this sort of stamina and determination?” Something very admirable.

Grayson2.0, I can’t answer your comment as I’ve just recently joined ACCA on Applied Skills level after completely AAT.I sat my first two exams in December, Corporate Law and Financial Reporting. I passed Corp Law with 64% (should have done better really) not too confident with FR as I rushed section C and really don’t know if I’ve done enough to land 50 marks, I can see myself failing but we’ll see. Tomorrow will be hard, especially since work paid for my exam/course and will be disappointed if I tell them I’ve failed, I’m dreading Monday.
Don’t worry @georgemac96. I know people who have left 30% of the paper unattempted due to time pressure but still managed to pass. It is important that what you have done in the paper should be right to get you that 50%.
So dont lose hope. Expect the unexpected in ACCA 🙂Also, a small tip, for the next papers make sure to do the questions that you are confident about first and get the easy marks first. You dont have to do the paper in order. A good exam technique and time management skills will surely help you secure a good pass.
All the best everyone!

January 12, 2020 at 1:16 pm #557897January 12, 2020 at 1:19 pm #557898Copy below and post what the journey was like for you:
1. Most challenging level 2 paper – F6 TX
2. Most challenging level 3 paper – SBR (so far)
3. Least challenging paper level 2 – F8 AA
4. Least challenging paper level 3 – P7 AAA (awaiting result)
5. Resit papers – None (so far)I still have APM and SBL left and awaiting AAA result, so cant say for sure if I am just 2 papers away from being ACCA affiliate. The journey so far has been honestly happy, passed all my papers in 1st attempt, gave F level papers in 2 papers per session except for F5/PM and gave each Professional one paper per session as I feel they require effort. I have also been named Regional (Middle East) Prizewinner for PM and AA and National Prizewinner for TX, so quite excited for what Professional levels hold for me.
Good Luck everyone.
