What is ACCA illuminati?
January 23, 2015 at 11:24 am #223540Yes @seagoat tuition providers do have some sort of opinion to take account of but some people here say ‘they don’t care’ what such high ranked tuition providers think. Isn’t that being over smart?
January 23, 2015 at 1:09 pm #223543The Illuminati is a purported secret society consisting of world governments, corporations and celebrities that play an important role in global affairs. Many believe the goal of the organization is to establish a global totalitarian government known as the “New World Order.” Due to its long history in American mythology, conspiracy theories regarding the Illuminati are prevalent online and are often mocked by those who are skeptical of the organization’s existence.
About the phrase ‘illuminati confirmed’:
People like to seek hidden symbols or conspiracy theories. In case of Illuminati their symbol is an eye inside green triangle.Eventually the phrase “Illuminati confirmed” become an internet joke whenever a triangle was spot on any photo/painting or there was something suspicious (ie conspiracy theory).
I have seen many posts, discussions all around the forum about ACCA policy, behaviour and even those conspiracy theories which ACCA might conduct.
So “ACCA illuminati confirmed” is like a ‘joke comment’ as a reply.
If you google you will find plenty of such jokes on forum, chats, websites etc.
January 23, 2015 at 3:32 pm #223550can anyone tell me what’s the thing with this viral ACCA e-mail, that states that candidates haven’t sat exams recently when they have sat in Dec 2014. What does this e-mail mean and has anyone else received such e-mails?

Apologies to all here for going of topic, but…
0028673, if you don’t mind (and have the time) could you please give your thoughts on how the ACA and ACCA exams compare and also why you changed?
Good luck to all awaiting results!
January 24, 2015 at 7:30 am #223600Seems that the results are being uploaded onto our accounts as when I’m trying to accessmyACCA it says:
“ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE
Please be aware that due to essential maintenance the myACCA portal will be unavailable.
During these times, students and members will not have access to the ACCA website.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this outage may cause you.”
January 24, 2015 at 11:47 am #223611@MS.I changed from ACA after passing 9 exams so I had my FAE’s to complete which is 3 papers. I elected to change to ACCA even though I had 6 papers to complete (I Had to do F4)
There were a number of reasons for this
1. The horror stories of how difficult the FAE’s were.
2. FAE’s being held once a year
3. So far I’ve found the ACCA papers to be more technically difficult as individual papers but there is more flexibility in terms of many papers you can sit.
4. Also if you are sitting a P2 exam at least you know your being judged on financial accounting rather than trying to guess which “indicator ” it may be..January 24, 2015 at 12:12 pm #223614AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

@0028673. That’s interesting – I was always curious as to how the technical content compared and had never heard a bona fide comparison from someone such as yourself, in possibly a unique situation of having studied for both qualifications.
Thanks for taking the time to reply – much appreciated.

Seriously everyone needs to cool down and wait for the 8th.the good thing is that by now papers have been marked and nothing will change what u see on the 8th. So why worry? What do u intend to gain from worry or anxiety. Go out relax and have some fun. See u on the 8th
January 25, 2015 at 5:26 pm #223704Hey guys
Have u noticed the option of printing certificates has been removed? from myacca
January 25, 2015 at 5:40 pm #223705@kibalka I’m able to view my certificates as well as being able to print them
January 25, 2015 at 6:11 pm #223710Has anybody checked the infamous sso link to see if their status has updated or not???
January 25, 2015 at 10:05 pm #223725im not sure I trust that infamous link anyway, as even if you do pass all your exams, you still have to apply to be a member, and complete your PER, just because you have passed your exams, It doesn’t make you a member immediately
What status do members have? I bet they are ACCA status
January 25, 2015 at 11:21 pm #223728@Carl29 with 100% certainty the link worked and everyone who had ACCA as status passed, no ifs or butts, irrespective of PERs, time in relevant role etc… . I know as I was one of those who didn’t get that status, and like every other finalist who didn’t, we failed. The link was genuine.
The problem with the link now is that although it allows you in, it is no longer a live link, so you are looking at what seems like historic information.
For example I changed my email address and the link is showing the same old email that it did 6 months back.
Plus it is too early for that update to have been done. There were a few things that took place before the link worked, and by the way the link indication was only 2 days before results.
What happened last time out were as follows:
– 28th/29 the exam status report froze and didn’t update until results day, so you were looking at a snapshot rather than a live report.
-4th (approx) student finalist who passed and were online @ a specific time saw there transfer letter under results correspondents. It turns out this letter is for passed finalist as some sort of transfer from student to affiliate.
– 6th – the link worked.
Keep your eyes peeled!
January 26, 2015 at 7:27 am #223740does anyone receive results via text message? I always opt in for the text option; however, I never receive the text message. Neither did I receive in Dec 2013 session nor June 2014 session so just curious to know if this text system really works. ACCA, instead, always just send me an e-mail at 00:00 UK time!
January 26, 2015 at 8:42 am #223746I have always received my results via sms, and it always comes through immediately after midnight.
If you want to get your results via sms, check that your country code is correct in ACCA contacting details.

@ninska I’ve always put in the correct details but for some reason I just receive the e-mail only. Do you receive the e-mail too @ninska?I too always get the sms shortly after the results are released and then shortly afterwards I receive the email as well.
You should contact ACCA and inform them of this issue.
P.S
Has your # been always on the same network or have you ported it out to another network??? This sometimes causes problems but it would be best if you contacted ACCA.
