I’m sitting the F7 & F8 exams in December 2014 and I was hoping to start studying for it sooner rather than later but I was wondering if I printed the course notes now (June 2014 Sitting) will they change dramatically for the Dec 2014 sitting notes. And are the exam formats definitely changing for the Dec 2014 sitting, if they are will the syllabus change?

    Many Thanks
    Emma

If, by exam formats you mean “Is the ACCA going to go to multiple choice format in December?” then I believe the answer is “No”. Yes, for F4 but I doubt it will happen in 2014 for any other F level papers.

there is a change though which MAY affect you – depends which variant you are opting for. With effect from December 2014 inclusive, the ACCA is dropping the UK / Irish variants for both F7 and F8. So unless you’re selecting a different variant (Bhutan or Nepal for example) then International variant is the one for you. And, fortunately, all the F7 and F8 lectures on this site are for International variants.

Thank you for clarifying whether the multiple choice format will be in place by dec 2014.

So if I print the course notes from the website now they will sufficient for the Dec exam sitting?

    Thanks
    Emma

The multi-choice format is intended to be applicable to all F level papers with effect from this coming December. F4 is intended to be CBE format.

Sorry if my original post misled you
