I have an issue concerning the question Glam co in dec 2014.
To calculate the number of client the ‘assistant’ can have for ‘cut’, I’ve done the following:
I day= 8 hr
1 Client= 0.1 hr
0.1 hr = 1 client
8 hr = 1/0.1 x 8 = 80 clients x 2 =160 clients
1 day = 160 C
350 days = 160 x 350 days = 56,000 clients1. My answer is wrong.
2. Where I have been doing things wrong? What’s wrong with my calculation?Where do 350 days come from?
The question says that they work 6 days a week, they are closed for 2 weeks and so there are 50 working weeks. So this is 6 x 50 = 300 days.
300 days x 160 clients = 48,000 which is what the examiners answer has!
