Hello,
can you please explain why when calculating materials:
* they have 0.6 for cut (but question said : The cost of cleaning products applied when washing the hair is $0·60 per client. , so why put them as cut cost?)
* they have $8 for treatment (The cost of all additional products applied during a ‘treatment’ is $7·40 per client…, so why they add 0.6 here?)Thank you in advance,
February 6, 2016 at 8:37 am #299449The second paragraph of the question says that all customers have their hair washed, and then carry on either having it cut or having a treatment.
So the cost of the material for washing will be incurred whether it is a cut or whether it is a treatment.
The $7.40 is the cost of additional products for a treatment, and so they will not include the cost of the washing – that is extra.

I must say that this was tricky question.
On my opinion, this part is only here so we could make mistake.
Bravo for ACCA.
