please may i know how to take Date in report to management (covering letter)?
If F/S for the year ended 31May20X8..report date 1Apr20X8 or 1June 20X8?

What report are you talking about?
The audit report goes to shareholders and is dated whenever it is signed.
Not sure what you mea by report to management. If it is the report on internal control deficiemcies, that is also dated when signed.

No. This is usually sent after the interim audit, which is when the testing of controls is generally carried out.
