bpp revision kit pg 295 Q2 september 2016 section A
sir here examiner says we need units for target revenue but he himself is taking target revenue as answer ??? what i did is this 90000+45000= 135000 target contribution then divided each by contribution per unit of X and Y which is giving for X units 13500 (135000/10) and Y 33750 units (135000/4) . this is the most sensible way but i guess we are taught wrongly or examiners dont really have a life n try to test us like that . it was easy to calculate target revenue but we dont know the selling price anywhere so how can we calculate total sales for average C/S ratio , we know the units of sales 2:1 Y:X but no selling price .
thankyouSeptember 4, 2022 at 6:45 pm #665147This is a perfectly fair question and it is wrong to write that the ‘examiners don’t really have a life’. As to whether you have been taught wrongly I have no idea – it depends who has taught you!!!
I assume that you have watched my free lectures on CVP analysis?
You can find lectures working through the whole of Section A of this exam linked from this page:
