Hi My Dear Tutor,I have a question.
In September/December 2015 past paper, there is a CVP question which requires to draw multi-product break even chart in order of product’s profitability. My question if i draw profit-volume chart will it be considered incorrect?
Also, what is difference between constant mix and budgeted mix?For instance in september/december 2015 , it says constant mix.
are there differences drawing charts relating to constant mix and budgeted mix?
May 17, 2018 at 4:59 pm #452505As I explain in my free lectures, you can no longer be asked to draw any charts of graphs in the exam. (Although you must understand them because you could be given a drawn one in the exam and be expected to interpret it.)
That is the problem with simply using past exam questions. The syllabus and the style of the exam changes. You should be using a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers – they contain all relevant past exam questions together with many more exam standard questions, in the current exam format.
Constant mix and budgeted mix mean the same thing – the actual total sales will be different from the budgeted total sales, but the mix will remain the same.
I do suggest that you watch my free lectures on CVP. The lectures are a complete free course for Paper F5 and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.
