Hi everyone!
Which current issues does everyone think may come up in the exam this Decemeber? have there been any hints given?

Financial Instruments is a very hot topic for the IASB at the moment. It will always be in the exam, and I would expect a current issue examined here – a 3rd of the IASB’s work at the moment comprise issues with financial instruments. (I’m only a student, so be warned, I could very well be wrong! I’m just repeating what my lecturer told me, to the best of my memory.)

Hey guys, my lecturer believes FRED 46-48 and micro entities will be examined in dec 2012 (for current issues), because these were the current issues around the time the paper was written (circa August 2011). So do you guys think that Financial Instruments were a current issue around that time?

I think for this sitting are very likely to come up any of the following the leases, financial instruments, framework or the new standards like IFRS 10-12. The current issues are really like “hit” or “miss”, so good luck to everyone 🙂
