UK co,Payment in dollars
Results of hedge are:
Spot market payment: 669,500 (POUNDS)
Spot rate(dollar upon pound): $1.5800-$1.5820
Futures market gain:$30,494
Had there been loss in future market say $30,494 we would have used $1.5800 because we would be paying more pounds to get few dollars.
Question:(Want to confirm if i am right?)
when we get gain in future market in dollars shouldn’t we use $1.5820 for convertin that gain into pounds .(converting a dollar amount to get pounds ,giving more dollars to get little pounds )
You are correct 🙂
