Is it possible to gain a profit both on the futures transaction as well as the underlying transaction?
If so, how?

No – the whole point of futures is that if there is a loss on the transaction then there is a gain on the futures, and vice versa.

I really do suggest that you watch my free lectures on foreign exchange risk management because this is all explained in the lectures.
