Dear Mr. John,
As per your lecture,
Chapter -23 Exmp -1
Why there is no good will arising calculation? and is there any alternative formula of non-controlling interest and when that would be ?
Need a bit advice

They paid $8,000 for 80% of the share capital of $10,000 and because they acquired the shares on the date of incorporation there were no retained earnings on that date.
There is no ‘formula’ for the NCI – it has to be calculated always in the way that I explain in the lectures.

Please advice the most important as per the below for the exam preparation , as i have completed your lecture notes Aug-2020:-
1. Practice Question from your lecture Sept-2019 to august 2020
2. Past last 10 years papers
3. FIA – FFA – Financial Accounting – Revision Kit 2019
And out of all the important chapters for the exam.Regards

You cannot practice the last 10 years exam papers because the ACCA does not publish the exams for Paper FA (and everyone gets a different exam anyway – the computer selects questions at random from a large bank of questions).
If you have finished your studying and have watched all of the lectures, then most important is to attempt every question in your Paper FA Revision Kit.
