Then their email even if passed will say student@ until accepted for membership.
I am still not hopeful as my exam did not go well not because of the theory, as I really feel ACCA is huge, they would have a great IT department who could fix this bug if there was one and they would be well aware of these theories. I have seen John Moffat mention previously they would mention it to the ACCA.
So there has been accidental early release where people could see their certificate but unless he was telling me alot of rubbish there is still hope for the people who see students@.

You, I, and those who didn’t see the @members should really need to plan on the retake giving up on the “still hope” situation. What the ACCA guy replied is not totally rubbish, but the part where it says @members appears upon completion of PER totally is. Here’s how…
I have been in touch with 7 affiliates who I know personally. All of them were finalists till the last sitting and all of them saw their status changed to @members, except mine. I failed, and all of them passed their final exam. And guess what? 5 of them had no experience recorded whatsoever. In fact, they never even landed on the PER dashboard as they were fulltime students. Among the other 2, one of them had PER recorded for around 4 years while the other one had only 6 months of experience recorded.I have accepted the fact that I’ve failed again. But it bugs me a lot seeing a world class accounting body cared less about fixing the glitch. It’s a 5 micro second maintenance task (I know that because I’m also a server guy). It hurts me seeing they fail every session because I’m a stakeholder and it jeopardizes my pride as a student of ACCA. The reply says that they have to tweak certain settings before uploading results, this is absolutely nonsense. It’s usually at the database level task, frequently involves a CSV file containing results and required setting variables being uploded to database.
@sociopath, I feel sorry for you 😐 And I really hope that stupid ACCA guy is right and I’m wrong
I keep posting but they seem to have disappeared KAHA in June 2013 had students@ and passed all three of their last exams.
you said you saw it somewhere @sociapath there it is and I am sure there is more if I had time to look.
I think you are right to hope and that is a great way to be.
I really hope this is true, it’s gives me some last hope that I have passed, I really hope so with this being my final one! No one will know for sure until Monday!

Yes let’s see I did P4, but only did P6 In june and i have four children and it was the summer holiday’s and september was a rubbish time for me to choose to do my last exam.
I only believe I failed due to lack of time not the theory, I really do it has been proved to fail.

I totally get what you mean as I have two young kids as well and it’s challenging studying with the little ones and also having to balance that with work. Was hoping to finish with P5 this Sep but not looking good! 3rd resit for me in Dec according to ebusiness and link theory.

@Mo, it’s actually my first attempt after a switch from P7. I passed P4 in March session, failed P7 in June, and a possible fail this session. Good luck with result anyway

How do you guys keep balance of your work, study and personal lives? You deserve respect. Look at me, 25 year old fulltime single, working for a start-up in a part time role and everyday I wake up with a feeling of the saddest man on earth like I’m trying passing the exams just so I can give up on the most precious thing on earth (that is morning sleep).
You are funny at @satancorpse, I think there is no balance to be honest. I work part time for an accountancy firm and I do book keeping at home in the evenings and then study and when the exams are coming near and it is non stop studying I too feel the saddest person on earth and such a bad mum for not being with the children and being so stressed out with everyone.
I think it will be worth it in the end when we are all rich and successful but i can’t say I have enjoyed the journey one little bit and think there may have been an easier choice in life.
Like do it before you have children, that would have been the clever thing to do like you @satancorpse and I tell my children this too.

You might be at stress most of the time for now. But it’ll definitely be worth it in the end. You actually have many reasons to feel proud of. Your kids will be proud of you too, and I can imagine that’d be a great feeling. Remember “what comes easy won’t last, what lasts won’t come easy”. Keep up the good work!

@satancorpse yes Mo is right, better complete ACCA before having kids as it gets harder to study or even concentrate once you have a family. I took a break when I had the kids for two years and trust me, this has been a long journey for me and everytime I fail, I feel sooo depressed because I know I have to do it all over again and that is time taken from the kids as I miss out on doing the fun stuff with them and being happy.
I put a lot of effort into my studying when I can and it just hurts when you have to do it all again and know that your kids will not enjoy some happy moments for a couple of months. It’s like life is just halted by ACCA to say the least!
