October 17, 2020 at 4:40 pm #589589Hi guys. I contacted ACCA regarding the Affiliate email yesterday and got a response today. This may be as good as an official response so sharing it with you all:
Dear Miss ——,
Thank you for your email.
We’re really sorry for a communications error that has led to some confusion, please accept our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused.
Examination results from the September session this year are officially due to be released on Monday the 19th of October 2020 however, many students such as yourself have received an email in advance congratulating them on becoming an ACCA affiliate. Rest assured, the email is genuine and accurate.
Kind regards,
Rajpaul
ACCAOctober 17, 2020 at 5:16 pm #589603What an awful situation. I did not receive the email but you always live in hope until you see the text message.
I have lost all motivation and feel completely disheartened.
It was supposed to be my last paper…really struggling to get through this journey. It feels like a never ending road :((October 17, 2020 at 5:18 pm #589604October 17, 2020 at 5:27 pm #589607Well, this may be wishful thinking, but,
They have said that email go out in tranches,
And it may also have been sent as per reg number in ascending order.
And they’ve also said not having received the email doesn’t necessarily means you’ve failed.
So maybe just maybe. One can only hope.
Let’s forget about it and stop worrying for the time being, and to the people who did receive the email, congratulations!!
October 17, 2020 at 5:34 pm #589608this was my 4th attempt and i didnt get the email, i am so disappointed and to know that it is most likely i have failed, these remaining hours i have been talking to myself , i feel like i will loose my mind, what a bad situation to be in
October 17, 2020 at 5:48 pm #589609I can feel ur pain. after so many hard work at the end employers ask do u know excel? do u know tally? quickbook?sage? bla bla bla. nobody asks how u managed to pass such difficult exam. its a harsh reality….
October 17, 2020 at 5:50 pm #589610Hello guys, I am only one here who failed so many times. It was my 6th attempt of APM, I didn’t receive any emails, meaning it will be 7th time in December. It looks like this road will never finish…
October 17, 2020 at 6:02 pm #589611Thank you for your kind words of encouragement guys…it is wonderful that we can support each other xx
October 17, 2020 at 6:33 pm #589619still hope
October 17, 2020 at 7:09 pm #589621Good day all.
I salute all the finalists that got congratulatory mail inadvertently sent by ACCA.
However for any finalist that didn’t get the mail, don’t feel despondent as though you failed.
Recall that they’ve issued a message saying not receiving a mail doesn’t mean failure.
I encourage myself as much as I encourage you, keep hope alive till midnight tomorrow.
Best of luck everyone.October 17, 2020 at 8:03 pm #589623Hi all. All the best for your results. I am attempting SBR exam in Dec and is my first professional paper exam. I need tips please. I got 1 months and 2 weeks remaining.
October 17, 2020 at 8:30 pm #589624Hey all,
I also didn’t recieve the email, but don’t lose hope, its a possiblity that you weren’t in the email tranche that was sent. Stay positive till midnight!
October 17, 2020 at 9:06 pm #589626The fact that this email is legit i feel betrayed by ACCA i am a finalist and i have not received this and am sure its bad news knowing ACCA .It has been a long and painful journey. But i have lost all the trust in ACCA now.
October 17, 2020 at 10:25 pm #589630Hey, I passed SBR in March, I found it the best module in terms of making you a good accountant. Do all lectures first, summarise as best you can and try to learn the key aspects of each standard. Then attempt questions. The syllabus is big so plan accordingly. It’s a tough one, practice exams because typing quickly will help a lot. Try to like what you learn because it will make you a better accountant. It’s the second most difficult exam in my experience behind only AFM.
October 17, 2020 at 10:30 pm #589631Yes, i am waiting for results but didnt receive this e-mail from ACCA…
October 17, 2020 at 10:34 pm #589632Hey, I got the email, sat AAA, SBL and AFM in Sep 2020. Delighted if I pass all three but I did study 2hrs a day for 8 weeks and had a week study leave before exams. My main tip would be use online tuition providers if you’re relatively good at accounting because the videos make sense and you can progress the course quicker with understanding and require less detail ie huge books you don’t need.

October 18, 2020 at 3:16 am #589643It means that for all finalist that did not receive the email, they failed?
October 18, 2020 at 3:40 am #589645I hope I pass SBL and SBR, SBL is so long, I don’t wanna do that again.
